Esther Graduate Scholarship Fund for Women

Must be a graduate student and officially enrolled in the Women’s Studies Graduate Certificate. Must have completed or be in the process of completing 6 graduate hours with an overall GPA of 3.0, including one of the core courses of the Certificate. Must demonstrate commitment to improving women’s lives through scholarship, service, activism, and/or advocacy regarding women’s issues, problems, and concerns. Must submit a college transcript, two letters of recommendation and an essay.

  1. Please submit a college transcript.
  2. Please submit one letter of recommendation from faculty, staff, or administrators, indicating both the length and type of relationship the author of the letter has had with the applicant and the leadership and scholarship qualities of the applicant.
  3. Please submit a second letter of recommendation from faculty, staff, or administrators, indicating both the length and type of relationship the author of the letter has had with the applicant and the leadership and scholarship qualities of the applicant.
  4. Please submit an essay (no longer than 1,000 words) that explains and discusses your commitment to improving women's lives through scholarship, service, activism, and/or advocacy regarding women's issues, problems, and concerns. The essay will be enhanced by including specific illustrations or examples of how they have demonstrated commitment to these issues.
