Must be a beginning freshman and a resident of Allen or Monroe counties in Kentucky, or Macon County in Tennessee. Must have completed all 4 years of high school in these counties. Preference given to students with physical or medical disease, disability, or handicap that requires medical supervision. Preference also given to a student who has a parent or caregiver who is a member of the National Guard or Reserve Unit and has been deployed in the past six months prior to graduation or is listed as KIA, MIA, or POW. An essay unique to each applicant’s county of residence is required.
