Barbara Cowles Scholarship Fund

Must be a full-time student majoring in a healthcare related field, including Social Work, within the College of Health and Human Services. Must be a graduate of a high school or be a resident of the Nashville Metro Area (Davidson, Rutherford, Williamson, Sumner, Wilson, Maury, Robertson, Dickson, Cheatham, Macon, Hickman, Smith, Cannon, or Trousdale counties) in Tennessee. Must have a minimum cumulative college and/or high school GPA of 3.0 and be a first-generation college student. In the event there are equally qualified candidates, it is the preference of the donor that consideration be given to a female student so long as the effect of this scholarship does not discriminate against any other students from receiving equal consideration of financial aid funds from the pooling effect of available scholarship opportunities.
