Worthy and Zenda Britt

Worthy Britt was born June 11, 1908 in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was married to Zenda Britt who was born December 16, 1923 and beloved by those who knew her. They both loved their community very much. Zenda was employed at Bernard, Inc., in Glasgow. They were married until his passing June 14, 1990. Zenda passed May 14, 1998.

Worthy and Zenda had one son, Charles Adair Britt, born February 7, 1947. Charles was a diehard Glasgow High School Scotties sports fan, a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, an avid supporter of WKU, and a customer service representative at R.R. Donnelly and Sons in Glasgow.

To honor his parents’ memories, Charles established the Worthy and Zenda Britt Scholarship Fund through his will bequest in 2005. The fund assists deserving WKU students who are graduates of Glasgow High School, from a single-parent household, and maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Through this fund, the Britt family’s legacy continues in perpetuity.
