Syed Reza Ahsan
This fund was established in September of 2008 by Syed and Huma Ahsan. This action honors the memory of Mr. Ahsan’s father, Dr. Syed R. Ahsan, who made many contributions as a professor in the Geography Department at Western Kentucky University for more than thirty years. During that time, he also worked part-time for NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense in addition to publishing several research papers. The establishment of this fund is a meaningful way to pay tribute to the late Dr. Ahsan and to recognize his belief in the importance of education. This fund is for a student pursuing a degree within the Department of Geography and Geology.
