“The membership of this ensemble is a mixture of students in all majors, faculty, staff and community members with an interest in choral masterworks with orchestra. The Southern Kentucky Choral Society is a member of Chorus America, the national organization which serves the needs of community choruses. In addition to its own concerts, this ensemble collaborates with the Bowling Green Western Symphony Orchestra each year. Recent performances include: the Requiem settings of Brahms, Mozart, Faure; Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna; Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem; Haydn’s Missa Cellensis and Paukenmesse; Handel’s Messiah; Orff’s Carmina Burana and Poulenc Gloria to name a few.”
