Mr. and Mrs. Allan L. Bennis

Mr. and Mrs. Allan L. Bennis

Allan L. Bennis came to the Hill from Indiana after an encouraging talk with a WKU Admissions Counselor. After feeling completely lost after high school, Allan found his home at WKU. In 1973, he graduated with a degree in elementary education. After graduation, he was employed at Kajee, Inc. and then at Prudential Advantage.

Allan is married to Dianna Bennis, who also attended WKU. She too graduated in 1973, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree. Following her time on the Hill, she has had a successful career as an elementary school teacher at Franklin Community Elementary School.

Since their time as students, Allan and Dianna have continued their loyal support of WKU. To further give back to the university, they established the Mr. and Mrs. Allan L. Bennis Scholarship Fund in 1981. The fund assists worthy WKU students pursuing their educational goals. Through this fund, Allan and Dianna continue their legacies on the Hill in perpetuity.
