Mary and Jack Fraim

This endowed fund was established in June, 1995 by Barbara Fraim Rutledge. It honors her parents, Jack and Mary Fraim, and pays tribute to their many contributions to education in the Allen County-Scottsville schools in Kentucky. The scholarship fund also recognizes their devotion to the profession which they served with dedication for many years.

Mr. Jack Fraim was a Monroe County native where he served as both a schoolteacher and administrator. Mr. Fraim was a member of Second and Maple Church of Christ, Allen County Retired Teachers Association, and the Allen County Library Board. He graduated from WKU with a Master of Arts in Education.

Mrs. Mary Fraim was also a Monroe County native and a retired school teacher for the Allen County School system. She, along with her husband, was a member of Second and Maple Church of Christ. In addition, Mrs. Fraim was a member of the Scottsville Homemakers Club, Allen County Retired Teachers Association, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She also served on the advisory board of Cumberland Bank and was part of several other civic clubs and organizations. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1956 with a Master of Arts in Education.

This scholarship goes to a deserving graduate of Allen County-Scottsville High School that will be attending Western Kentucky University.
