Kevin D. Bullington

Kevin Dwayne Bullington was born May 9, 1969 to James R. Bullington and Judith “Judy” Carol McCoy. Kevin’s vivacious spirit and love of life were his prominent characteristics, and this carried into school and onto the football field at Warren Central High School. He had plans to follow in his mother’s and father’s footsteps and attend WKU, as his sisters and brothers eventually did. Tragically, he passed away from a head injury at the age of 16 on May 12, 1985.

After his passing, Judy established the Kevin D. Bullington Memorial Scholarship Fund with donations by family, friends, and community in 1985. In 1994, this scholarship was added to the College Heights Foundation and a fund was established there. A scholarship is presented each year to the Warren Central football player with the highest GPA on the team. Through this fund, Kevin’s memory lives on in perpetuity.
