Ken and Irene Hall

Mr. Kenneth E. Hall was born March 31, 1930. Ken graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1952 with a degree in Industrial Sciences. He is the retired chairman of Hall Contracting in Louisville, KY and Charlotte, North Carolina. His son, Mike, currently runs the Charlotte location of Hall Contracting. Ken was also the chairman of Hennessy Construction Services in St. Petersburg, Florida before selling the company.

Mrs. Irene S. Hall, Ken’s wife, was born June 15, 1929. She also attended WKU. Ken and Irene have two children. The Halls are generous supporters of WKU and are members of the Cherry Society, Cupola Society, and are Lifetime Members of the Alumni Association.

This scholarship fund was established by the Hall Foundation in 2014. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to benefit deserving students who are majoring in a field within the Ogden College of Science and Engineering. This action not only demonstrates the Hall family’s love and devotion to Western Kentucky University, but their belief in education as well.
