Joyce Daugherty

Mrs. Joyce Daugherty was an outstanding educator. She had a deep love for her community, as well as for her students. She was a caring individual who wanted to see each of her students have the chance to be educated.

The Joyce Daugherty Scholarship Fund was established by Joyce’s brother, Dr. DeWayne Mitchell, retired WKU professor and long time resident of Allen County. The scholarship was established to support Allen County – Scottsville High School students pursuing degrees in education. Through the donations of friends and family, Joyce Daugherty’s memory will live on in perpetuity.
