John E. and Betty A. Capito

John E. and Betty A. Capito were married for many years. Betty was a talented nurse who was admired and respected throughout the Bowling Green, Kentucky area. John gave encouragement and support to her career, and together they raised their son, John W. Capito.

To honor the memories of his parents, John established the John E. and Betty A. Capito Scholarship Fund in January of 1995. The fund assists deserving WKU students who are from Kentucky and are majoring in nursing. Through this fund, John and Betty’s legacies live on in perpetuity.
