Jerry B. Branstetter
Jerry B. Branstetter was a proud WKU graduate, earning his degree in agriculture in 1973. While a student, Jerry was an outstanding member of the 1972 Livestock Judging and Evaluation teams.
He tragically passed away in an automobile accident in 1976.
To honor his memory, Dr. Gordon Jones, longtime associate professor in the Agriculture Department, established the Jerry B. Branstetter Memorial Livestock Judging Fund in May of 1978. The fund is used annually to purchase two plaques for the winners in the junior and senior divisions of the Block and Bridle Livestock Judging Contest. Through this fund, Jerry’s legacy on the Hill continues in perpetuity.
