Hubert Craddock

Hubert Craddock was born October 24, 1924. Following high school graduation, Hubert pursued his bachelor’s degree on the Hill. As a student, he majored in business and minored in accounting and secretarial science. He graduated from WKU in 1953. He then went on to a career in business, serving as a longtime employee of Dollar General Corporation and eventually their chief financial officer. He was also a charter member of the Laura Goad Turner Charitable Foundation Board of Directors.

To honor Hubert’s legacy, the Laura G. Turner Charitable Foundation established the Hubert Craddock Scholarship Fund. The fund assists deserving WKU students who are from Allen County, Kentucky, and have a 3.0 GPA. First preference is given to a child or grandchild of a member of the First United Methodist Church of Scottsville, Kentucky. Through this fund, Hubert’s legacy lives on in perpetuity.
