Dr. W. Gerald Edds
Dr. W. Gerald Edds graduated WKU in 1943. He then pursued a career as a physician and practiced in Calhoun, KY for many years. He was a lifelong WKU advocate and member of the WKU Board of Regents. Dr. Edds was married to Dorothy F. Edds, with whom he had two children: Dr. Gerald G. Edds (WKU ’70 and ’72) and Pamela Edds Moore. The Edds family has a deep love for their community, as well as WKU.
To honor his father’s love for WKU, Dr. Gerald G. Edds established the Dr. W Gerald Edds Endowed Scholarship Fund in 2004. This award helps deserving students from McLean and Daviess Counties. Through this fund, Dr. W Gerald Edds’ legacy lives on in perpetuity.
