David Kent Brown

David Kent Brown was born February 17, 1959, to Mollie and Audrey Brown. David graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School before attending WKU, where he was an outstanding student. He tragically passed away in an automobile accident in 1979, during his sophomore year at WKU.

To honor the memory of their son, Mollie and Audrey established the David Kent Brown Scholarship Fund in May 1979. The fund assists deserving freshmen students who are graduates of Franklin-Simpson High School and are studying agriculture at WKU. Through this fund, David’s legacy on the Hill continues in perpetuity.
