Chelsey Williams Bailey

Chelsey Williams Bailey was a longtime friend of WKU. After graduating from WKU in 1911, Chelsey decided to pay tribute to WKU and to his late sisters, Katesie T. and Hansie Bailey. Katesie (WKU 1910) and Hansie were both teachers in Kentucky schools. To honor their memory, Chelsey established the Chelsey Williams Bailey Scholarship Fund. The fund serves to assist female WKU students who graduated from a high school in Hopkins County and plan on teaching in a Kentucky school system after graduation. Through this fund, the Bailey family’s legacy continues in perpetuity.
