Bowling Green Music Club
The Woman’s Music Club was founded to promote musical study and performance in 1896, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The club’s objective was to promote the musical culture of its members and to foster in the community an increased knowledge and love of music. The organization changed its name to Bowling Green Music Club in October 1936.
To further give back to their community, members of the Bowling Green Music Club established the Bowling Green Music Club Award Fund in 1975. The fund assists deserving upperclass WKU students who are majoring in a music-related subject and are dedicated musicians. Through this fund, the club’s legacy lives on in perpetuity.
