Bob Archer

Robert “Bob” Stuart Archer, III, was born to Janet Marcia and Robert Archer on July 17, 1960 in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Bob graduated in 1978 from Williamsville South High School in Buffalo, New York. He then pursued his academic and athletic goals at WKU, where he graduated in 1982. An avid football player, he played defensive end for both Williamsville South and WKU. During his time on the WKU football team, the team was awarded the “1978 Ohio Valley Conference Champions.” Bob was also a member of the Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. On November 5, 2001, Governor Paul E. Patton commissioned Bob as an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was engaged to Becky Baldwin when he passed away of cancer on April 26, 2012.

To further his legacy on the Hill, Bob established the Bob Archer Scholarship. The fund serves to assist WKU “walk on” football players in their academic and athletic goals. Through this fund, Bob’s memory is honored.
