Building on a tradition of excellence in community banking that stretches back to 1872, Truist Bank (formerly BB&T Bank) continues to offer clients a complete range of financial services including banking, lending, insurance, and trust and wealth management solutions. Truist has had a profound impact on not only Bowling Green, but also on WKU and Southcentral Kentucky in general. In addition to playing an active part in their community, Truist also continues to employ many proud WKU graduates.

To further their relationship with WKU and give back to their community, the Truist Scholarship Fund was established in 1972 by the Board of Directors of the Bank. The fund assists deserving WKU freshmen from Warren County and surrounding areas, with preference given to students pursuing a degree in a financial-related topic, particularly with an interest in banking. Through this fund, Truist’s generous legacy continues in perpetuity.
