Building on a tradition of excellence in community banking that stretches back to 1872, BB&T Bank continues to offer clients a complete range of financial services including banking, lending, insurance, and trust and wealth management solutions. BB&T has had a profound impact on not only Bowling Green, but also on WKU and Southcentral Kentucky in general. In addition to playing an active part in their community, BB&T also continues to employ many proud WKU graduates.

To further their relationship with WKU and give back to their community, BB&T established the BB&T Scholarship Fund in 1972 by the Board of Directors of BB&T. The fund assists deserving WKU freshmen from Warren County and surrounding areas, with preference given to students pursuing a degree in a financial-related topic, particularly with an interest in banking. Through this fund, BB&T’s generous legacy continues in perpetuity.
