Our Opportunities

Welcome to TOPDollar. This scholarship management system, powered by AcademicWorks, provides a complete list of all scholarship opportunities that are available for students at Western Kentucky University.

You can save your application at any time by clicking “Save and Keep Editing”. PLEASE NOTE:

  • Browsing “All” Scholarships: Below is a list of all scholarship opportunities within TOPDollar. This comprehensive list shows all scholarships, not just scholarships for which you may be receiving particular consideration. The “Deadline” column indicates the deadline to complete the application to receive consideration. This is not the deadline to accept the award should you be offered the scholarship.

  • Search Scholarship Opportunities: You may type in key words to search for specific criteria to identify scholarship opportunities for which you might be eligible. You may search based on geographic area (i.e. county, state, high school, etc.), academic major or college (i.e. Chemistry, English, Gordon Ford College of Business, etc.); extracurricular activities or athletics (i.e. FFA, football, forensics, etc.); hobbies and interests (i.e. piano, gymnastics, etc.); or specific personal characteristics (i.e. diversity, disability, faith, etc.). Based on the information we have on file and the information you complete in the General Scholarship Application, you will be automatched to available opportunities.

  • Automatch Scholarships: Once you complete your General Scholarship Application, you will be matched with scholarships for which you immediately qualify – no further action is required. All students who qualify through the automatch for these opportunities will be submitted to the appropriate awarding entities. Please keep in mind, qualifying for an automatch does not guarantee you will receive a scholarship. Also, some scholarship opportunities may not be automatched because they require additional action on your part (i.e. a separate application, essay, letters of recommendation, interview, etc.). Those particular scholarships will be listed as recommended scholarships with a green arrow button after you complete your General Scholarship Application.

  • Award Amount: The number and award amount of scholarships are for general information purposes only and should not be considered a guarantee of what you will receive if selected. Actual award amounts vary based on students’ individual eligibility, funds available, and other factors which determine the amount of the actual award.
